Earn the New Standard in HR Certification

JSAHR Is Now Offering a SHRM Learning System® Study Group!

We are pleased to announce that JSAHR is now offering a SHRM Learning System study group.

This group combines the leadership of an experienced facilitator with the learning modules and online study tools of the 2015 SHRM Learning System to expand your human resource knowledge and skills, and prepare you for the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) exam.

What has changed? This certification is focused on eight behavioral competencies, one technical competency, and four HR knowledge areas.

The course is designed to provide HR professionals with a roadmap for developing capabilities to advance their careers and to improve their effectiveness in the workplace.

The SHRM competency model is fundamental to the two new certifications:  the SHRM CP and the SHRM SCP, which have been launched to accomplish two goals. For HR professionals, the goal is to reaffirm the importance of acquiring the competencies and knowledge, not just the knowledge.  For organizations, the goal is to provide relatable indicators of proficiency in these two aspects of HR practice.

This eight-week study group is designed for human resource professionals interested in preparing for the SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP exam, achieving professional advancement, and building confidence for addressing today’s HR challenges.

The cost is $500 for members and $550 for non-members.  The fee includes books that usually retail for $695 for SHRM members and $870 for nonmembers.

Included with the books is the online learning system which provides you with an assessment to test your knowledge, tests with more than 1000 questions, a post test that mimics the certification exam and a resource center with study aids, such as flash cards.

We have eight skilled instructors.  The course starts on April 13. It will be held on Mondays through June from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Monmouth County Library, Shrewsbury branch.  It’s always a good group with good discussion and the sharing of experiences so that everyone has a chance to interact, learn and share best practices for learning the material.
