Dear JSAHR Friends & Colleagues:
I want to thank you for your vote of confidence in me. I am honored to represent you and our chapter.
I would also like to thank our board members for their hard work and commitment to their roles over the past years. Our Chapter is lucky to work with a group of talented individuals who are dedicated and engaged in promoting the human resources profession. We are very fortunate to have this opportunity to represent our members and will work hard to meet your expectations.
As you may already know, the theme of this year's state conference is ‘HR's Transformational Power’. In keeping with that theme, JSAHR also is evolving and transforming in order to stay current & attract new members, including our young professionals.
The HR profession continues to transform & evolve as we play a more strategic role in the business. It is our goal to ensure that we, as a chapter, also continue to evolve in order to assist you where you are in your career – from recent graduates to senior executives and every step in between – by offering certifications, connections, seminars, webinars and networking to help you succeed in all stages of your career journey.
I have a personal challenge for all of our members. Maximize the value of your membership by not only attending our live seminars, but also by connecting with your peers through our social media channels. Join us on LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter to engage with other members, keep up with the latest chapter news and contribute to conversations about our evolving profession.
If you are new to our chapter, welcome. If you have not yet joined or have not attended a meeting, then we invite you to be a part of our family. Our chapter is known for its friendly atmosphere and interactive style. Each person brings his or her own insight to our group, and we are all better for it.
It is a privilege to work with such a dynamic and dedicated team. We are all working very hard to ensure a world-class member experience and to support our chapter in building leaders, one member at a time.
