Welcome to the Jersey Shore Association for Human Resources
Welcome to the website for the Jersey Shore Association for Human Resources (JSAHR). We hope that you have been enjoying your summer, and are looking forward to an autumn when everyone starts to refocus on their professional development. It is a new beginning for me as well as I start my term as chapter president.
If you are new to our chapter, welcome. If you have not yet joined or attended a meeting, then we invite you to be a part of our family. Our chapter is known for our friendly atmosphere and interactive style. Each person brings their own insight to our group and we are all better for it.
Our association along with the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) can bring numerous resources to your fingertips as you grow professionally or if you just need information for a project at work. The annual Garden State Conference held each October in Atlantic City, along with our monthly meetings in Neptune, can help you keep up your certifications and also give you tools to make yourself more productive and valuable to your company.
The vast majority of our monthly meetings are approved for HRCI credits. Not certified and want to be? Sign up for our fall 2014 certification study group and be on your way to your SPHR or PHR designations. We believe that everyone in our chapter benefits when more people continue their professional training.
The JSAHR is staffed by a group of dedicated and respected volunteers that work to head committees that make our chapter run. We are always looking for additional people to serve on those committees and work their way up to our executive board. It is a very rewarding undertaking.
If you have interest in becoming a member of our association, please contact Koleen Singerline our membership director, or Sarah Heckman, our chapter administrator. We look forward to welcoming you into our group and seeing you at our events.
