Membership

This is one of the most exciting times to be a Human Resource professional! There are constant challenges with regards to employment regulations, business partnering, influencing skills, retention, and performance improvement as well as employee engagement. Membership in our Chapter provides you with the tools and resources to continue your professional development; collaborate with other HR professionals; and keep yourself energized.

Our membership is open to anyone working in or responsible for Human Resources or a related profession.  Although you don't have to belong to our parent group, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), to join JSAHR, SHRM members receive additional services and a JSAHR discounted membership.

JSAHR members represent a variety of HR fields and industries in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Young Professionals who have been in an HR career for eight years or less are particularly welcome, as we have special networking opportunities available for you.  For additional information about JSAHR's Organization, our Mission, our Programs and our Educational Seminars, please click here: Join Now

    Help JSAHR Grow Our Chapter

You probably have dozens of connections on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and your iPhone.  Good friends, excellent co-workers and wonderful relatives in Human Resources or a related profession are great sources as well.  Please think about encouraging some of these folks to join JSAHR.  To help them become new JSAHR Members, please click here:  Join Now

The Membership Committee is proactive in managing the recruitment and retention of the JSAHR Chapter membership. The Membership Committee also works directly with the development and advancement of the Chapter’s Young Professional group. Duties also include receiving applications from the Chapter Administrator to contact and discuss membership benefits with potential new members.  Working together with the Chapter Administrator, the Membership Committee will distribute a welcome e-mail and presentation to new members. On a yearly basis, the Membership Committee coordinates the re-enrollment of members and payment of annual dues.

    Member Onboarding

    • Assist in welcoming and greeting new members after they join our Chapter.

    Young Professionals (YP) Group

    • Be part of the newly formed YP Group—our next generation of HR leaders.
    • If you have entered Human Resources in the last eight years, use your marketing and strategy skills to help grow this important segment of our Chapter.

If any of these areas spark your interest, please contact one of the following members of the JSAHR Membership Committee for additional information.  You'll meet great new friends, share your ideas and feel satisfied that you've made an important difference.  We would love to hear from you!

    Special Note to Members:

We want to hear from you!  Do you have business or HR news that you want to share with us? How about that wonderful item you just announced at the introduction at the last meeting?  From time to time we would like to publish in the Members Only section new jobs, promotions, career changes, honors, awards, certifcations, degrees, etc.  Please send them to admin@jsahr.org.

Also, we strongly encourage all members to join one of our fine committees.  In particular, both the Programming and Membership Committees have room for new volunteers.  How about you? Can you join a JSAHR committee?  If so, please contact us admin@jsahr.org.

Finally, do you have any suggestions for the JSAHR website?  We want to hear from you.  Your input is welcome and wanted!
